Described as “one of the most ably transcendent bands we have come across in a long time” (LJT.V) Tree Pit toured extensively performing at the legendary 100 Club and in well known venues such as Proud Camden, 93 Feet East, The Bowery amongst others.
After 3 years of playing together 2011 was the year when Tree Pit’s different worlds of folk, rock, fusion and jazz came to a cohesive whole that melted together in the shape of their debut E.P. in charge on the production, in collaboration with the band, was Guy Katsav who worked with the likes of Laura Marling, The Gossip, Noah And The Whale, I Blame Coco and many more. The E.P was recorded over a period of one year in Soho, London (Soho Studios and Play Soho studio) and Norfolk (Sickroom Studios).
The music can be described as deep rich vocals; underscored by heavy drums and eerie bass, which hypnotically envelops the listener while the song unfolds. Its jazzy undertones reminiscent of their early influences such as Peter Gabriel and John Coltrane creates a mixture of Peter Gabriel meets Muse.
