  Pitchfork is not about giving quality music artists good ratings, but they only give high ratings to what they consider to be "hip" at the time or "earthshaking" innovation. If I would have listened to this music "authority", I would never have given Midlake "The Courage of Others" a chance. This is high quality music that is not considered "hip" enough for Pitchfork, and consequently got a very low rating. For this and other reasons, I have zero respect for this ridiculous excuse for a music authority.

  Bitchfork takes their hatred too far sometimes. Yet, I go on the site just about every weekday. Oh, the struggle. I still can't forgive them for what they did to Black Kids though. That was just downright cruel.
