Very strange problem with mpdscribble 0.18

I have a very odd problem. I have mpdscribble set up to update both last.fm and libre.fm, and it appears that the client succeeds:

2009/12/17 20:50:23 new song detected (Big Time Charlie - On The Run), id: 97, pos: 15
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [last.fm] handshake successful
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [last.fm] session: 765465bedb3a49dc95401846649af743
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [last.fm] now playing url: http://post.audioscrobbler.com:80/np_1.2
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [last.fm] submit url: http://post2.audioscrobbler.com:80/protocol_1.2
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [last.fm] sending 'now playing' notification
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [libre.fm] handshake successful
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [libre.fm] session: ebb6afc8b51cb3bd927764135a75a2a9
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [libre.fm] now playing url: http://turtle.dev.libre.fm/nowplaying/1.2/
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [libre.fm] submit url: http://turtle.dev.libre.fm/submissions/1.2/
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [libre.fm] sending 'now playing' notification
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [last.fm] OK
    2009/12/17 20:50:24 [libre.fm] OK

The track shows up immediately on my recent tracks RSS feed, and on the page itself, but after a few seconds, if you refresh or re-download the RSS - the track is gone :o

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?

  • After the "now playing" notification has been sent to last.fm, there is no further communication with the server, until the song is finished. If the track disappears on last.fm in the middle of the song, mpdscribble isn't the issue here.
