    FLAC+MPD+mpdscribble+gMPC (or rarely mpc)=Joy

    I rarely touch gMPC though as my whole collection is cued up and set to random. Just plays. :)

    I have to say using gMPC from PPA on Ubuntu is pretty cool. You get to see many things develop.

  • Sonata

    I use Sonata exclusively at the moment. Most of the time from the systray.

  • mpd + ncmpcpp is the best.

  • ncmpc and mpc

    those fit's my need's wery well in fluxbox - use the fluxbox key's to +- volume, change song and soo
    My little webspace

    Just nu är det för mycket blod i alkoholomloppet...
  • ncmpc++

    ncmpcpp is just so amazing..I keep learning new things with it.
    Like pressing "o" in the file browse screen takes you to the currently playing track.

    The search is the best I have ever used as well.

    For the pointy clicky crowd then I used to use and like Ario

  • xfce4 mpc plugin

    I prefer subj, :) i.e. xfce panel applet to control mpd. My usual gui for mpd is Sonata, 'cos it's rather lightweight and clean. Sometimes, though, I prefer to use gmpc as full-functional and advanced client. And, well, Ario also is good thing, something between Sonata and gmpc.

    it's better to beg pardon than ask for permission...

    ncmpc++

    ncmpcpp for the world (+ media keys set up with mpc in openbox on my archie box)!
    It's got everything you could ask for (low mem-footprint, great search functionality, lyrics/artistinfo fetching, oh and a funny ascii-oscilloscope visu =D). Plus it can look really slick in a transparent terminal (I recommend urxvt).

  • ncmpcpp on urxvtc too, but my girlfriend uses gmpc :)

    My musical preference is 88.98% similar to the Amarok Users group. Musically, I fit in!
    My musical preference is 85.54% similar to the Mandriva group. Musically, I fit in!

    gmpc on X, ncmpcpp on OS X, BitMPC or MPDroid on Android

  • Just switched to gmpc from Sonata. I use the built-in http streaming with mpd, and gmpc has a plugin to play this; it means I can enjoy my mpd whilst at work, or other remote locations.

    Additionally, the "Favorites" feature has turned out to be simple and useful.
