Just set up laptop>libre.fm>last.fm. A few more steps than I'd hoped, but they were mostly down to me using Amarok on this computer. (Needed the script from kde-apps, would much prefer a native solution)

Is there anyone who knows how to make a plugin for MusicBee to scrobble to libre.fm ? MusicBee is awesome and certainly wouldn't leave it to use another musicplayer, but i do really wan to scrobble to libre. Right now i don't use libre because of this.

If you are using Android smartphone, just install simple scrobbler (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adam.aslfms&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hZGFtLmFzbGZtcyJd). It can scrobble to both last.fm and libre.fm services. BTW I see that there is no way to import libre.fm library to last.fm account and libre.fm can't be used as a library backup so it's quite useless service. Good bye!

Dig the hell out of Libre.fm, but I am using Audiogalaxy on Android. Is there a way to get that program's plays to be recognized by Libre? It's got Last.fm support built in, so it seems to me that the simplest solution would be to grab the data from the RSS feed that last.fm provides and use that to populate Libre. I'm not a programmer, so I don't know how challenging that would really be.

@zulu9, @voyagerfan5761: If the programs you use cannot scrobble to your server of choice there is always the option to modify their code and recompile, unless they are non-free (non-libre) software. That's what I had to do with LibreScrobbleBerry. You may also want to give a look to this somewhat manual scrobbles exporter:http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/09/easily-export-you-last-fm-scrobbles-to-libre-fm, or its command line version: http://web.archive.org/web/20101029041803/http://bugs.foocorp.net/projects/librefm/wiki/LastToLibre... (required scripts). In case you use them keep in mind that you must temporarily disable the push function from Libre.fm to Last.fm; otherwise you would be duplicating your data on Last.fm.

"Am I missing something, or is there no way to have Libre.fm pull scrobbles from Last.fm? I love that I can scrobble to Libre.fm and push those plays here, but some (backward ;) services/programs only support the Last.fm API. :-/" I'd love to see a pull feature too!

Good news for people stuck in BlackBerry propietary devices (like me). I've made a new Libre.fm client...... LibreScrobbleBerry is a free (libre) digital audio player for BlackBerry which scrobbles to Libre.fm. It is a very simple mod based on ScrobbleBerry 0.2, and supports vorbis and flac playback (amongst other popular formats). It doesn’t scrobble the audio played with the built-in blackberry player, but does using its own player that can be accessed pressing the menu key at the app’s main screen.

@BeSlayed: you can take the source code of libre.fm and host yourself - see here (and e.g. make it private); you have a backup of your data (see here)
