A new artist I'd like to see on LetMeLikeIt

China Forbes, she's not really new, some may know her as a member of Pink Martini. Recommended from my friend Knirrie I listened to her new album '78 and enjoyed the pop style songs.

Ah, she's definitely nice, thanks for the rec. Will put her on soon.. ! (still have a lot of other talents as well!) I also still have to mention Priscilla Ahn, who I've know for more than a year now. Can't wait for her album!
Have been thinking about a thread like this one ;)

Do you have any rules, how you decide to put an artist on your blog?
Or do you just follow your amazing musical feelings? :D

No I don't have rules, I just post what feels right ^^ And if I don't like it, I won't post it.. Sometimes Ive been listening to a particular artist for quite a while before I put it on the blog, sometimes I just put it on the day after I discovered it. It all depends..

(that was kinda why I tried the new rating system, to see what the reader like etc.) Not sure I'm going to keep it, since it's slowing the site down quite a bit.

  • Joey Ryan. Two of his songs, As It Must Be and Loving You, were featured on One Tree Hill.

  • Helen Trevillion - kind of like Emilie Autumn, only better.

    Thanks for those recommendations.
Love Joey Ryan's style. Definitely will have a better a look at his music! (hard to find! :| )
Helen Trevillion's voice is nice too! Don't like Emilie Autumn, but this sound great.. Will try to find some of her music.

  • I don't like Emilie either - I was a big fan of hers, but UGH.

Hm...maybe Molly Zenobia or Sarah Fimm?

I've got music by both of those artists if you like them.

And a couple more recs. :)

    Half Light
    Keltia
    The Verna Cannon
    Two Loons for Tea

  • how about Dawn Landes and Miranda Lee Richards?
well they're not really new (like 5 to 10 years from debut), but since they maybe new to some people here :)
I heard them on the movies; Winter Passing and All the Real Girls (well, I am a fan of Zooey Deschanel), and instantly fell in love with.

  • nice group/blog - looking forward to listening to more! for what it's worth maybe Anton Rothschild's peculiarly personal brand of indie nonsense may appeal ... or maybe not.

  • The Go Away Birds are lovely. Catherine Ireton is stunning all around though.
