    Do we need last.fm support for PS3?

    Well, do you think we actually need this kind of support?

    I think we do. I'm listening to a lot of music while I'm on my PS3. And it will be much more in the future, when we can use own mp3's while playing games.

    What do you think?

    XMB needs to be able to do more than 1 thing at a time

    Firstly they need to update XMB to be able to preform more than one task at a time.. i.e. surfin' the web and listening to your mp3s. Then maybe they could work on last.fm support for XMB.

    I run Ubuntu linux on my ps3, with an external HD. Ubuntu comes with rythm box which is already set up with last.fm as is. Pretty cool.. =)

    Well you can already listen to your music while surfing the web. I'm doing it right now. Too bad none of the music is scrobbled.

  • Use Mediatomb 0.12

    Mediatomb 0.12 is a DLNA server with Last.fm support built in. The PS3 is a DLNA client, everything I listen to on the PS3 (via the Mediatomb server) is scrobbled.

    It'd be nice to have it when all games let you listen to music whilst playing but until then I doubt Sony will consider it =( I'd prefer Firefox on the PS3 before lastfm though tbh.
