A group devoted to the folk noir / jazz folk singer-songwriter Yoriko Ichinomiya.
Yoriko Ichinomiya is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter whose often sad, slow-paced, dark-themed songs could be described as experimental folk with some jazz and neoclassical influence. Yoriko’s lyrics are written in English or Japanese and either whispered or sung in a nonchalant, dreamy way. The minimal arrangements create an intimate atmosphere which is sometimes reminiscent of ambient music.
