Yes, some people actually use Windows Media Player.

In even more shocking news: Some actually prefer it.

Because it is equipped with a lot of psychedelic's graphics. Because when I am listening to psychedelic's musics, graphics are suitable for musics. It is easy to use. It is easy to see. It is easy to correct. All are perfect.

Since I had installed my Winamp July 2010 (and my Real Player), I was not interested for my Windows Media Player anymore, until I have installed 4 new "Visualizations" now in this player (and the other players). 2 "Visualizations" can run also without music in my Windows Media Player. This is a very good option, now I can watch these "Visualizations", if I can play the music only directly from the website and not in a media player... :-)

Windows Media Player has the best sound reproduction I've ever come across. The equalizer is fab. I tried using Winamp, but the sound was so shitty [even after custom-setting the equalizer], I raged and uninstalled it. Thank goodness I didn't buy the damn thing.

A great player, no reason to change it, and I'll lose all my star classifications if I do.

@Sch0ber. I assume your using Windows 7. Works perfectly for me. I just downloaded the official Last.fm scrobbler and it scrobbles. Make sure you've enabled the Last.fm plugin for WMP. Press Alt to access the menu bar then Tools -> Plugins and select Last.fm plugin. You don't need to select the WLM plugin to display songs, the scrobbler does it for you. I hope this helps.

hey, cool Group!! But it's fucking crap that Last.fm does not support any scrobbling under WMP 12!! How can I scrobble now, I don't want to use another media Player.

People have to pay for a MS OS, therefore, they think its bad, also, because codecs need to be downloaded! However, in win 7, wmp12 already has integrated codecs and has native bluray support! WMP Rulz!!
