Who the fuck really cares if your favorite band is tagged as emo. Even if you don't agree, does it really even matter?

This group isn't a comment on what bands are and aren't emo, that's a completely separate issue. What this group is about are all those users that feel the need to get upset about a band being tagged as emo. Even if you feel that a band is incorrectly tagged as an emo band, what is the harm? We can just sit back and quietly laugh at their ignorance.

its just annoying when i think, "hmm i fancy finding a new emo band today", then you go on the emo tag and you're like, "wait a minute, this doesn't sound like the genre i want to find... or this one... or THIS one... but its tag says it's emo!" (that is why tags are important)

You know, I think people abhor their favorite bands be tagged as emo because nowadays emo is used by many as an insult. Hence when they say, 'this band is emo' they are also saying 'this band sucks badly' and no one likes their favorite band be so openly insulted

i dont know why the word emo is so rejected, people give to it to much importance to that genere, i think that the emo from 90 has evolved into this characteristic sound that is so popular right now, as taking back sunday, MCR and silverstein, but thats jut my opinion

what does emo mean? cuz if it means stuff like having long dyed black hair and cutting wrists up and wearing black all the time.....what on earth does that hav to do with music? and if a band i listen to is tagged as emo, then does that classify me as an emo? (p.s. i dont cut and i dont wear black. but i hav black hair.)
