Why do you have an exponential profile?

  • Why do you have an exponential profile?

My two top artists have such a large discography that keeps on growing every year (I don't even have the whole darn thing) that I tend to have a lot favourite songs and a few favourite albums that I could listen to. And since the two bands are always evolving, it doesn't get too repetitive for me.

Also, I like to create lots of playlists. Playlists of the songs I like from every artist (yes, really), English songs, Korean songs, Japanese songs, Filipino songs, general Asian songs, songs from a particular genre, old favourite songs, current favourite songs, new songs, new favourite songs, all of my favourites combined together, etc. I listen to those playlists extensively and there's a lot of overlap with my top artists.

Not to mention that I fall asleep a lot while listening to one artist/song/album. Then I wake up to an almost dead iPod and I feel angry for not charging it (I use iScrob to scrobble songs played on my iPod as I listen to it, it does wonders if you have an iPod Touch/iPhone).

Yeah, I realize that I'm going to go deaf when I'm older. :P

  • Because after being "eclectic" for years, I've finally found a few bands that I really love more than any other bands I'd ever liked before. Maybe this is what it's like to be married.

  • With over 50k plays (with member's solos each having 800-4800 plays on their respective profiles) it has to be my love of KAT-TUN, easily. Even when I become tired of them or hooked on another artist it'll only be for a matter of weeks and I always go back to them. With five albums and fifteen singles (sixteenth due out Aug. 3rd /w four b-sides) since 2006 -- albums tend to be 14~19 tracks and singles are 4~6 tracks before instrumentals -- and their frequent genre-hopping there is more than enough music, and a strong variety of styles, for me to listen to without becoming bored. ♥ Plus, they've five years worth of live tracks from before their recording debut too.

Being hooked for months on G-Dragon's first album was the main culprit that "wrecked" my AEP in the beginning. KAT-TUN just contributed and eventually stole the show when their plays surpassed GD's. Despite 30k plays I haven't listened to him much for 1yr+. :P I get obsessive about artists, I guess - these past few months I've been mostly listening to KAT-TUN and Boy George (inc. the music he released under other aliases & Culture Club).

    Yes, it is ^^
I'm in love with At The Gates since I was a child and it doesn't change. I like almost everything that I listen, but they are my biggest love and they will be forever.
