Well, I see it's not a reason to worry. Don't even try to scrobble again, everyone. All the scrobbles will be sent correctly later.

hey ODS. I have the same issue now with that "interal error" and I have it regularly from time to time. It's odd because it sometimes can scrobble one song and then returns to error.

Any idea why the [last.fm] database search with some searches throws up "Sorry, no artists were found for this search criteria." when searching for the exact, and correct, artist name?

@garynotrashcoug: that soudns like the issue @COandCA4life reported a little while ago. The Last.fm submissions system has problems from time to time and it means the US can't submit scrobbles while the problems occur. Sorry for the annoyance, but I can't do much until their systems come back up - best advice I can give is to try again in a few hours.

I was trying to scrobble something this morning using the new Universal Scrobbler and I got the following error message "There was a problem with the submission. Message was "There was an internal error. Please retry your request. (Error code was 16, response code was 200)"." twice in a row. Has anybody else seen this before and know what it means?

I was asking because I was watching the BBC's Glastonbury coverage. I wouldn't want to scrobble live music from a gig I was actually at/had been to!

@COandCA4life: is this still an issue? I'm having no problems. Thanks @JW11! Do these channels scrobble their plays anywhere? Or do they have an API for listing the tracks played? @CavieVoltaire: this would be cool, it's on the backlog. Although do live plays count as a scrobble...?

Great app. Happy to be a premium member. Any chance of adding absolute radio to the radio section. Also is there anyway to scrobble music tv channels like Vintage, kerrang etc?

A few more fixes today. I had no idea there were so many little layout quirks on iPhones! Fixed now. Also, the site now remembers the last page you visited and takes you straight back there - hopefully make things a little quicker for y'all.

@COandCA4life, I've been thinking about exactly that. It would be very helpful. Being able to create your own US playlists and managing it all in a "US library" or something would be very cool. Haven't got to this yet but hopefully it's something I can look at some time soon.

Thanks @chewiiii, @fluxed & @BlackSession323. @Bagofsheep, I'm not charging for something simple. It's free to use simple features with a simple limit. If you want more advanced features (which I have invested a lot of time into building) and extended limits, you can choose to pay. Some people don't like paying for apps etc, that's quite understandable. But the freemium model of apps and online services is quite common these days, and somewhat necessary for people like myself who do this kind of thing as a career. Not “greed”, just making a living.

@MittelMatze, I'm not quite sure what you mean. If this is about how track titles or artist names are shown, all this comes from the databases. If these are wrong, perhaps try updating MusicBrainz or Discogs?

i have a new suggestion: anytime i scrobble a full album it could be added to my 'album library' so that when i listen to it again it's easier to find. most of the albums i scrobble have multiple results in the database search, and most of the versions have different and/or incorrect tracklists so it takes me forever to find the right one each time. this would be sort of like the 'previous scrobbles' feature, but a lot more useful to me. anyway, thanks for your work! love this tool!

^Ditto. I have no problem paying $5 for this wonderful program.

I'm surprised people aren't willing to pay $5, or just over £3, for something so useful. Without wanting to upset anyone here, people should really consider the time and effort that goes into maintaining the site.
