Not using Ubuntu atm, unfortunately. I'm a little afraid to put it on my netbook because I read everywhere that it kinda kills your battery (mostly because of bad power management). Does anybody of you guys have any experience with netbooks + Linux?^^

The problem for me is just I tend to use some things that aren't usually used by the developers, and those things are naturally badly supported if supported at all. So yea, my desktop runs Windows 7 :P But as a server, I wouldn't choose Windows over Linux even if I got money for it. (And I use the latest Ubuntu LTS of course ;))

I've gone back and forth between Rhythmbox and Amarok. Right now I've settled on Rhythmbox again, my biggest knock against Amarok is that it gets a bit slow as the library gets bigger and I just don't like having a bunch of KDE stuff in there since it makes the look/feel inconsistent. --- http://ubuntu-stoke.blogspot.com/ <-my blog

I don't like Amarok either. The new version gave me far more problems than I was willing to deal with. Switched to Songbird and everything was fine after that.

To be honest, i am one of those rare people who don't like Amarok. It's rather heavy app for my (now) prehistoric PC and it gets even more laggy if playlist gets large and Firefox starts taking "his" part of my RAM. Audacious does the job quite well for me :)
