Dedicated to the British avant rock bands for whom Simon Reynolds invented the term "post-rock" in the early '90s - Disco Inferno, Bark Psychosis, Moonshake, Stereolab, Insides, Scorn, Main, Flying Saucer Attack, Seefeel etc. We aim to widen the audience for these under-appreciated bands while increasing your understanding of what the term "post-rock" means and where it came from.

Yeah I looked all around, mostly broken links. I might just hold out for the singles/ep comp Rudy was talking about (assuming it ever comes to fruition).

There might be something in this forum's sharity thread or on The Blackened Air. They do turn up on vinyl, from time to time. I posted the Peel Session on my blog.

Anyone know some links for some of those Butterfly Child EP's? I found a post at some site which had most or all of them, but of course they were megaupload links so they've been terminated.

Yes indeed. In fact there's a forum thread for that: http://www.last.fm/group/UK+Post-Rock/forum/118725/_/601694

Sound of Satellites is easily the best Laika album. Good Looking Blues is too trip-hop if you ask me.

He seems pretty intent on it. He brings it up every so often on the Facebook page. Related, an A.R. Kane singles comp is coming out very soon as well, for those of you that care. Possibly in May, he says.

Rudy from A.R. Kane is still talking about reissuing the Papa Sprain material: http://arkane.fanbridge.com/fan_questions/q/782246

"Isn't Sound of the Satellites supposed to be really bad?" No, absolutely not. Admittedly it's not as great as Silver Apples Of The Moon but it is pretty essential and probably superior to Good Looking Blues (which isn't bad either).

Dub Sex go to my wishlist, thanks man. "Sounds of the Satellites" (after first listen) is really nice, maybe i return to "Silver Apples of the Moon" later.

Dub Sex remind me of Moonshake too but without the electronic element.

Isn't Sound of the Satellites supposed to be really bad? Good Looking Blues is alright, though.
