For all fans of UK82

Considered by many to be the peak of punk music. Rising from the ashes of '77 the years 1980-84 were a golden age for punks that saw an explosion of bands and labels that blasted the music back into the ears and eyes of youth the world over. More raw and more real the seventies breed of punk. The first wave of punk to be influenced by punk led to a uncompromised, authentic and urgent sound. No longer from the middle-class art students, but genuinely straight from the streets and the dole queue. Arguably the most influential time period in punk music history. Rough, chaotic and political call it whatever you want it's pure fuckin punk that can only be made in the UK!

@trevor I think its quite the contrary. New bands are sounding more and more like defect chainsaws. ARGHARGBKHBFSKBFSKJBDKJSBDSsssZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZVEGANVEGANVEGANSNDBSKBDSKJDHKJSDHS crust is annoying.

The problem with new Punk bands is that they are to focused on sounding like the bands that inspired them, rather than being unique. Thats why the Punk scene isn't as active as the 80's, people just lost interest. The bands from the 80's were original so people thought it was new and exciting. So if these new bands would stop trying to copy older bands and would try something different then people would be more interested and the Punk scene will become more active. Think about it, 80s bands sounded nothing like 70s bands, same with 90s bands but the new bands all sound the same. I wish people would realize this!
