Silverchair were discovered on an SBS Tv Show called Nomad..SBS handled the video for Tomorrow whilst Triple J handled the recording. Just to clear that up!

if we are talking about artist conections... well, we are.. sort of...

I would say there should be some link to Silverchair, Powderfinger and Spiderbait... mostly because they are 'big' Australian artists that have always been popular on JJJ.

there could also be mention of the older days JJJ.... maybe AC/DC and the band that was played first Skyhooks with "You Just Like Me 'Cos I'm Good in Bed"... JJJ, still different after 30 years.

I dont know.... i'm just ranting..

    So don't you believe them
Yes, it's true, someday everything dies
We won't let that defeat us
We can't hear him sing but we can hear it as it flies

I really like this song: http://www.triplejunearthed.com/GetFile/76440/Sylvia.mp3 "Sylvia" by Cathy Petocz...I didn't much care for the other two songs, which I'm sad to admit. She has a nice voice. It's piano and voice, and slightly slow, so if you're not into subdued quiet music, then I wouldn't recommend it.
Do not listen to the Young and The Restless.
I adore Regina Spektor, as a side note, and I'm really depressed that now Triple J is playing "Fidelity" like there's no tomorrow. I loved her when she was all mine. It's a really weird experience watching someone get famous.

The URL posted earlier was way out of date (2004???). The correct link is of course:

Take a listen and let me know what you think!
    Gordon,
    tCFB

  • Cuthbert & The Nightwalkers won one of the spots at The Great Escape. I caught their set and it was awesome - much better than I would have expected from a newly unearthed band. Plus the singer bought beer from the bar I was working on and was really lovely.
