You need not be a hacker to join (I am not one) but you need to believe in/follow the way of...

Follow these...
The world is full of fascinating problems waiting to be solved.
No problem should ever have to be solved twice.
Boredom and drudgery are evil.
Freedom is good.
Attitude is no substitute for competence.

...and be released.

Membership used to be member approved but is now open. I would only ask that you don't join because of the cool sounding name.

If still want to draw more attention, put the symbol up there in the most creative way you can!
