Mix Discussion: January 2008

Happy new year everybody...

Hope you all succeeded in making a mixtape last month, and received one. Remember, if you didn't get your mix, let me know, because as of last month, this group has a 'zero-tolerance' policy when it comes to slacking.

For general entertainment, but also for anyone who unfortunately was left out, i always put my mixtape up at the end of the month. It's right here:

It's my personal best of 2007, all mashed up and crossfaded, as if i was a pro. Which i'm not :)

Now, with a new year comes a new month, and a new month means a NEW MIXTAPE! Woohoo! This is how it goes:
1. Below you'll find a list of pairs.
2. Find your name in it, and make a mix for the person you're matched with.
3. Send them a Personal Message with the download link in it. Easy as that.

PLEASE: Read the Important Post in the Forum ( http://www.last.fm/group/The+Monthly+Mixtape/forum/45288/_/221537 ) if you want to know all about technical stuff and membership policy.

Every month, we have an optional theme... it's ONLY there if you don't know what kind of music to put together. But most people here, or at least the most fanatic ones, are very creative in putting the theme to work. Do with it whatever you fancy.

The theme for this month was suggested by a few people on the forum a long while ago, but it seems like a lot of fun: HUMAN ANATOMY.
Songs about heads, fingers, arms, legs and other limbs... that's what i mean. But remember, it can be what you want... if you can find another way.

To make up for my general tardiness with December's mix i've done this month's in double-quick time for Jordanobscura.

I was *so* close to put Clap Your Hands Say Yeah on my mixtape, but I didn't want to be the third in a row to use the same song, so I skipped it, even though it would have fit nicely. Ah well... :)

I veered off a bit from the theme, making it be more about health, injury and illness, though I wasn't very strict about the theme... The mix was made for sheline. It can be found here: http://sharebee.com/798139fc
