I am awesome at getting new members. You suck Jimmy. lolololol

  • Yay, i'm a new member!

    Hello,

I'm not currently living in Ballarat but my creds are BCC class of '93, Ballarat uni 1994(dropped out) and again in 1998 (dropped out again). I'm BMI Rat Rager #119. I can remember the golden age of the Ballarat live scene when the Camp, the Bridge Mall in and other pubs operated as seething pools of talent. As far as I can tell from recent visits to town the live scene had died with only one or two venues operating and local acts starving for venues.

    rock on

And my ears are wearing head phones
that do play my favourite songs
not music i’m told to like
but the songs that make me dance along

Cos on my feet are shoes for dancing
    ‘dancing to be free’
my feet they’re paying tribute to
    the bobby marley legacy

Welcome to teh new members! Wow 20 members, we are actually starting to be a group as opposed to... not a group... or something. Anyway people should post more stuff, so then maybe people will visit the forum and stuff as opposed to... not.

Wow, the group has reached 30 members! I'm surprised Ballarat actually has 30 people interested enough in music to have Last.fm, to be honest.

Epicure is the only good Ballarat that I know of, but some of the other guys would probably know better than me (Nick!!).

  • Heeey, I'm Michael and I'm in year 10 at BCC. I suppose searching for a Ballarat group was rather ambitious, but here I am, making that search a sucess. I've tried to get people I know at school to use Last.fm but one the whole they all seem rather uninterested.

If a science nerd like me can find the time to make use of Last.fm, then anyone should be able to use it.

    .

No way, James. All of Ballarat are totally into emo/hardcore/metal. They'd totally hit last.fm up. Totally.

  • Agreed. It's depressing not being able to have an informed conversation about decent music with the people I know in the community.
