I hope this "Movie" will never get released... (thinking of "IT", "Shining" and all the other bad film adaptions...) I just think a book's a book and a Movie's a Movie and that's how it should stay. To watch a Movie after you read the book only destroys your own imagination of the characters and the whole world which lies in book. This will only get worse if the movie has popular Actors... Oh and "Hail to the King" for writing this masterpiece xD

The latest news I heard on the J. J. Abrams movie was that he was too close to the source material, and felt that he was therefore not the right person for the project... which is unfortunate (personally I think he'd better start working on it before he gets run over by a car). As for "The Wind Through the Keyhole" is anyone else thinking it might be part Dark Tower novel, and part long-awaited Talisman 3? There is still much that needs to be told about Jack Sawyer's journeys in Midworld and his behind the scenes assistance of the Ka-Tet, and Stephen King and Peter Straub have been talking about a third Talisman novel for ages... It would be wonderful to see Jack Sawyer in an entirely Dark Tower centered novel.

Today, October 21, 2009, sees the release of Hopes Were High's fourth album, the first one actually being good: The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger! It is the first of seven planned parts to be inspired by the The Dark Tower fantasy series by Stephen King. It is also by far the longest HWH release, by 51 minutes. It departures a lot from all previous releases, as it abandons most heavy metal instruments excluding some drums and bass; it relies much more on symphonic instruments as well as choirs. As with the previous two releases Among Crows and Gods and These Hours of Conclusion it is entirely computer-generated, except for two bonus tracks: a demo version of the title track and an unreleased song entitled "Tull".
