  Though not really psychedelic, if you're interested in hearing Texas musicians who are doing things more along the traditional / world /ethnic music spectrum then check out the Last.FM community group: Texotica I share this here because you guys seem more open to non-pop, outsider, local music than the strictly Texas rock group pages. :)

  There's a few groups on various sites about texas psych... this one is related only in subject matter, and possibly also in intention. though I can't really say what my intent was when i started this group, it just seemed like the thing to do. But it would be interesting to find out how many people in this group belong to other groups on other sites that are about texas psychedelic music. are you a member of the one on tribe?

  wow. I have to get that box set. Lots more artists for the connections list too, i'll update when I get around to it... thanks stalactite! and, specialist... those charts aren't the artist connections for the group, that list is compiled of what our group members (you!) listen to the most. there are SOME texas bands on the charts, but only cause texas is big and full of musicians. (E.I.A.P.G.) ;)

  thanks for the invite. Can heartily recommend the Never Ever Land compilation on Charly - 83 Texan Nuggets from International Artists Records 1965 -1970. Check it out, it includes 13th Floor Elevators, Red Crayola, The Golden Dawn, Thursday's Children etc etc
