Like me born on the 20th of march his prokoviev/bach/schubert/schumann are magnificent By the way; the best recorded Moment Musicaux(schubert) are by yuri egorov who seemed completely forgotten

I heard him playing Bach live in the 90ties when I was a teenager. I was so impressed by his personality and by the fact that the podium was all dark except a little lamp beside the piano. And I was jealous of the beautiful girl who was allowed to sit beside him and turn around the music sheets. ;)

A great part of Johann Sebastian Bach plays in my library is Sviatoslav Richter's performances. Especially, The Well-Tempered Clavier.

One of the true greats from the last century--and that is really saying something when you consider the elite number of international pianists that were performing. Just bought a 10cd Richter set released by the Melodiya label; can't wait to dig through all the wonderful interpretations!

I like his Debussy really much.Although I also adore the crazily bizarre Weissenberg redintion and poetically unique Francois, too. Recently I am a bit obsessed with Kocsis. However,Richter is timeless~!
