emo symbolism (i hope this is a suitable english word for it)

    hohoho!
while i was browsing ebay with the keyword "emo" i just wondered once again: "why are cherries 'emo' at all?"

    and what about
    - strawberries
    - swallows
    - butterflies
    - playing cards
    - dices
    - angels
    - anchors
    - keys
    - vintage styled flourishes, ornaments, writings,..
    ?

does anyone know where they came from or what members of the emo scene connect with these things? do they really have a meaning or are they just a decorative part of the style?

    merry christmas

Cherries? How the hell does a cherry relate to emo? Maybe virgins, I mean I understand that one. But emo? I would think fruit-punch would be better.

  • i thin many of the listed things are just "in". some kids who want to be emo think they have to wear those things. IMO it isn't really emo, its just fashion.

what is the fashion of emo??
I don't think cherries, but there is a emo fahion.

sry for my bad english... ;)

  • Cherries and such things are more related with this Rockabilly style, and this emo-style is like a copy or something.

But, seriously... I don't know, why cherries and strawberrys are emo. x)
