The West is waging a misinformation campaign against Russia about the conflict in South Ossetia!

On August 8, 2008, Georgian forces launched a surprise attack on Tshinvali, capital of the breakaway region of South Ossetia, murdering 1600 peaceful civilians, most of them Russian citizens, and several Russian peacekeeping soldiers. Russia has mobilized its troops into South Ossetia to insure the security of its citizens. Russia drove Georgian forces out of the city. Afterwards, it has destroyed several Georgian military bases, which were still being used to shell South Ossetia, to prevent further Georgian aggression.
The Western media, however, has completely ignored the first day of the conflict, when Georgia deliberatively murdered Russian citizens, and claimed that it was, in fact, Russia that started the war and that the goal was to annex Georgia! Further, it has called the military bases Russia bombed "peaceful villages", and has completely ignored the fact that Georgian troops, under the order of Georgian President Saakashvili, commited a mass genocide against the people of South Ossetia.
I have created this group so people from all over the world will get to hear the true story behind the conflict, and spread the word about the truth.



8-го Августа 2008 года, Грузия начала внезапную атаку на Цхинвали, столицу Южной Осетии, региона желающего отделится от Грузии. Грузинские солдаты убили 1600 мирных жителей, большинство из которых были гражданами России, и несколько Русских солдат-миротворцев. Россия мобилизовала свои силы с целью защиты своих граждан и миротворцев. Выгнав Грузин за пределы Ю. Осетии, были также уничтожены несколько Грузинских военных баз, находящихся рядом с границей Грузии и Ю. Осетии, с которых продолжал проводится обстрел Ю. Осетии.
Западные СМИ,однако, полностью игнорировали первый день конфликта когда Грузия совершила убийство мирных жителей, и заявили что начала войну Россия, и что ее цель - присоединение Грузии. Далее, было заявлено что Россией были разбомблены не военные базы, а мирные деревни, и полностью игнорировали то факт что Грузинские солдаты, под приказом Президентом Грузии М. Саакашвили, совершили геноцид против народа Южной Осетии.
Я создал эту группу чтобы люди со всего мира смогут узнать правду об этом конфликте и расказали бы об этом другим.

    Some historical материал you may not know: In WW2 the Allied outnumbered the Axis over 10 to 1 in men and materials (planes, tanks, ships...). The war lasting 4 years shows a very poor performance on the Allied side. In 1939 as Hitler took half of Poland, Stalin took the other half. How come only Germany was declared war on, but not the USSR? спасибо

    As far as being overwhelmed, it's TRUE. Germany+Italy+Japan+Romania+Hungary against the rest of the world. Spain and Portugal didn't participate, so the rest were USA, UK, USSR, France. pointless to talk about the all smaller states which were allied with the allies.

    Yugoslavia was a fake enitty which simply had to blow up. You might as well say that Serbia should have remained Beogradski Pashaluk, after all wansn't it legally a part of the ottoman empire?. As far as Poland goes, it was simply a way to trick the soviets and Stalin, which didn't expect 1941! Turks are far more reasonable than russians, at least in my country they didn't bring colonists. Russians on the other hand did that, just like they did in Poland, Baltics. Bucharest by the way is the capital of Romania, Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia.

You've ended up particularily well, especially the Krajina and Montenegro humiliations, hahahahaahaha. As I said - if South Ossetia has the "right to secede", then bandit states like Kosovo or Chechyna also have it! - and even more since they're fairly homogenous!

Maybe when the population of Russia will be around 80 million, half of them ethnic "minorities" will they realise that maybe they need a new strategy in order to survive? Anyway, if "Chechens" declared themsels independent, by your logic they should be; that if you agree with South Ossetia. That means you should also agree with Kosovo. Problematic, eh?

    lacrimstein, do you really think I rely on TV for my information? Even so, none apart from state-owned official Russian TV channels have been blocked, and now these were source of misinformation if there is any. Everybody has problems, I'm not saying we actually are 'little beacon of democracy' so no need to be putting words into my mouth. But what this group proclaims their goal is utter bullshit

    Thats what you think. Your country blocked all sources that criticized Georgia's actions, while Russia didn't block anti-Russian sources. That should already be enough to question just how democratic the "Little Beacon Of Democracy" really is. And cp6, I agree. Everyone should see that video.
