If you like Reich, check out Paul Simon's Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints (if you haven't already).

I joined the group to ask this question. If you had to reccomend one of his albums to a person who has never experienced Steve Reich, what would it be?

There is a boxset for Pärt, but it doesn't have any of his best known work; Terry Riley, not so much; Glass, well...erm, whatever makes you happy, I guess. Cage isn't a minimalist composer or a contemporary of any of these artists.

Hello, I've recently bought the 'Phases' compilation by Steve Reich and it blew me away. Now I'm looking for similar introductions to other 'minimal' composers like Terry Riley, Philip Glass, John Cage and Arvo Pärt. Do you have an advice for discs I can buy by those composers that can serve as a good introduction to their work? I don't have a lot of money, so for now I'm looking to by just one title from each of them. 'Phases' is great, because you get different pieces from throughout Reich's time as a composer, but as far as I know there is no equivelant for those other composers, or is there? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks.
