  @O15: Well, actually I found an easier way to get Spotify - just install TunnelBear (http://www.tunnelbear.com/) and switch the dial the US. (This also works for Google Music.) I found it very unreliable on my 384kbps ADSL line, however.

  @Caromba you can stream Spotify in SA if you have a contact in one of the countries where Spotify works who's willing to buy a premium coupon for you. Or ask travelers coming from those countries to bring coupons to South Africa for you. A friend of mine bought a coupon at a convenience store in Sweden and gave it to me. I activated it a few months later and it worked 100%, even on a 384 kbps connection over Wi-Fi.

  So, I bought a month of Last.fm premium to see what it's like, and it's pretty cool, but it really sucks that the streaming doesn't work through the mobile app. Spotify etc. also doesn't work in SA. Are we ever going to get these sort of services in SA?
