Description:
If you love Stax records or you want to learn more about this important record company from Memphis, TN, that was responsible for some of the best soul music ever created....this is the group for you!

From its beginning in 1959 to its demise in 1976 Stax records was the little record label that could, creating some of the most memorial soul music of all time. Artists such as Otis Redding, Booker T. & the MG's, Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas, Sam & Dave, Eddie Floyd, the Staples Sisters and Black Moses himself Isaac Hayes. And those artists are just scratching the surface of this fairly unknown label that created the famous "Memphis Sound".
