The best group on last.fm

Shoegaze is dreamy/noisy/chaotic/calm, often hypnotic guitar based music. The genre had its "golden" years between 1988-93. Some of the most important bands at that time were My Bloody Valentine, Curve, Slowdive, Ride, Chapterhouse, Cocteau Twins and Lush. New bands that could be described as shoegaze are Deerhunter, Asobi Seksu, M83, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and A Place to Bury Strangers, etc...
