Don't know if they're already mentioned, but I really like LSD and the Search for God, Panda Riot, Dirty on Purpose, A Sunny Day in Glasgow and The Megaphonic Thrift.

  • i've mentioned it before, but forest travesty has great shoegaze drones.

you can have a free wav. file of one of his new tracks with anticon recording artist, sj esau. forest travesty & sj esau - "leaving"

  • New

This New Band is awesome i talk about "Descartes a Kant", maybe is not totally shoegaze, but is really good.

  • Not exactly new, but a new album out soon...

I posted in this thread a while back about Ringo Deathstarr, so I apologise if I just seem like a me me me whore or something...
But The Sky Drops, although not exactly new having released their debut EP in 2007 (although Rob Montejo of The Sky Drops was in proto US shoegazers Smashing Orange back in the day) have a brand spanking new album out later this year.
Here's a bit of a beauty of a track from their EP 'Clouds of People'...

Go check out the lovely video.

Has anyone mentioned secret shine yet? (Im not going to go through 10+ pages to find out ppfftt). Their album from last year 'all of the stars' is mucho awesomeness!!

  • I think Engineers are quite awesome myself...their eponymous debut doesnt have a bad song on it and Come in out of the rain and Thrasher are just great.....Dirty on Purpose just broke up btw and Secret Shine are my favorite current Gaze band but I didnt list them since they really arent "new" ... that being said The Shine in my opinion have joined the ranks of the alltime great Gaze bands right behind Ride, MBV, Lush, Pale Saints and Slowdive......

  • Lately I've realy enjoyed listening to bands like

    Alcest
    Angelic Proccess
    Amesoeurs

Who Intermingle shoegaze with black metal. Check it out. The music sounds a lot better then the written genre discription portrays.

  • LSD and The Search For God

They released a selftitled EP in 2006 and it's simply fantastic. Very classic, but without being just a ripoff.

I think I saw them mentioned earlier, but Mew are well worth checking out even though I wouldn't exactly call them shoegaze. And The Glass Handed Kites specifically, it's dreamy and slightly weird but I love it. I think they're worthy of a mention simply because of the atmosphere they produce on this record :)

Also, new music from them soon. Not sure precisely when, but I know there's an album upcoming pretty soon.

they are incredible. their earlier stuff is very heavily influenced by my bloody valentine. so they kind of came into their own, but they are still shoegaze. their early stuff is more identifiable as shoegaze though.

They are more dream pop mixed with prog or something, but I concur. They are very good.

  • Catching Colours
