[float] is electronic music project created by vladimir mihajlovic in 2008. he started learning about sound in year 2003 when he had first contact with sound editing softwares like acid, sound forge and fruity loops. his first creations were made in year 2004. vladimir was experimenting with various styles from 2004 to 2008 when he created his own kind of deep music made for enjoying and relaxation. deep basslines, constantly shifting abstract sfx spiced with digitally modulated leads and glitches, melted into spacey pads and chilling dubby chords is now float's recognizable sound. float merges techno, trance, house, dub, ambient and minimalistic influences into unique electronic fusion. anyhow, none of his tracks can be classified into one genre, it is always a interesting mixture of a few genres. float is also a member of perspective artist organisation tesseractstudio based in serbia which gathers very talented musicians in domain of intelligent progressive trance music. his first project phasetech was dedicated to harder tech-trance beats and was active until 2009.

Àsino Elettronico is a newborn netlabel from Serbia dedicated to promotion of unique, non-genre based electronic sounds coming from this part of Europe. Piece of Shh... - Good Ol' Dayz EP

Piece of Shh... is one the longer standing producers in Belgrade, coming up over the last 10 years with the Belgradeyard Soundsystem, a heavy jazz influenced collective of producers, dj's and live musicians who were one of the few Serbian artists to achieve success outside its borders.

Once he started following his own direction, his sound started to become sparer before arriving comfortably at his signature minimal-meets-dubstep sound that’s both familiar and new. He’s remixed for Sutekh and released on Earsugar (Berlin), Cosmic Sounds (London), rx-tx (Ljubljana) and Public Records (San Francisco), as well as sharing stages with luminaries like Digital Mystikz, Mrk1, Loefah, The Bug, Modeselektor, 2562, Deadbeat, Substance, Jahtari crew, Mapstation…

Recently he’s been playing out live at various festivals where his devastating combination of sub bass, dub siren and syncopated rhythms really draws out the tension in the crowd.

Review:
This time we bring you some session-type weird electronic music. This is so serious that you won't get any glimpse of how good it is if you don't listen to it from the beginning to the end. Right now, I keep on asking myself whether I actually need to spend more words on this release, but I will try to. As you can expect anything when you listen to the album, expect anything from me now.

Yeah, the hard times ("teska vremena" in serbian) finally came. Album name translation is: "Hard Times Are Coming". And it's not a joke - hard times are here, that's why this music is so dark, it's the reflection of what's inside. Yeah, this release is kind of epic to me, but don't get too excited if I tell you this... It's just that I am in some kind of time phase with my friend Dominator, this music really suits my mood very well. A display of how sick the music (or life?) can be. Da freaks come out.

Hard times, I guess we just have to live with them, until the time effect kicks in: wounds healed - scars remain, but how gives a shit about the scars? They can even be esthetic and functional too - remind us how stupid and weak we were.

faktor & vektor is a collaboration project of dominator and trut, belgrade based computer+drums duo producing experimental music ranging from drum and bass, jungle and techno all the way to abstract ambient. it is founded in 2005 and to this date have no official releases, although their music is already featured in some movies and tv series, and also in public on various events ranging from dnb to abstract noize, performed and remixed by phase, codex, dominator, kdes and kosmoplovci.

dominator is active in music scene since 1993, producing all kinds of electronic music under various names. he is also a wide known demoscene, music and art activist, being the main person behind corrosion and kosmoplovci groups, involved in numerous projects as music, video, design and programming artist.

trut is best known as being a long time collaborator with serbian musician rambo amadeus, following him and supporting with live drums for most of his carreer, starting back in 1988. he is a bit less known for being a huge music activist, especially supporting and spreading jungle and drum'n'bass scene starting from the early days, but also having an open ear for the experimental side of electronic music. his drumming skills are exceptional and he is widely respected as being one of the best serbian drummers (if not THE best...) but he is also quite open-minded and interested in collaborations that can bring him to situations to develop and create new sounds and ideas by merging best of both analog and digital worlds. this was the point where dominator and trut met and understood each other, and started to make music together as faktor & vektor.

It was manufactured in Boulder, Colorado in April this year and promoted around USA on Vice Verse tour. Some copies are still available for purchase on shows, but we are giving it for free to also promote our young and prosperous Herbarium Records label. Since April 21st 2010, the camps of the Communikey and Dis-patch festivals (from Colorado and Serbia respectively) have embarked on a year-long collaborative project, a tour which will take around 15 artists affiliated with the two organizations to 30+ cities around the United States and central and southern Europe.

This unique festival-to-festival collaboration will bring together “resident” artists from New Mexico, Colorado and Serbia with their counterparts in numerous American and European cities.

ViceVerse offers an astounding range of live music, audio visual shows, DJ sets, new media workshops and other unique projects such as a the exhibition of prints developed by the art director of Dis-patch Nebojsa Cvetkovic. The North American leg of the tour will take 55 days in total, visiting Boulder, Missoula, Portland, Mt. Shasta, San Fransisco, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Phoenix, Joshua Tree, Austin, Ashville, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Stamford, New York City and a special appearance at the 11th edition of Mutek festival in Montreal towards the end of the tour.

The tour is presenting the impressive audio-visual show of Wo0 & Incredible Bob (Belgrade), the playful melodic post-rock from the trio D Numbers (Santa Fe), rocking 2step/bass live show from Piece of Shh… (Belgrade), all-over-the-place electronic perofrmances from Smirk (NYC) and the accompanying sets by the Dis-patch festival founder DJ Moodswinger. The guest artists will include Kit Clayton, Sutekh, David Last, Attentat and more local projects from Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia…
