Second wave Goth also known as Gothic Rock is the second wave style of Goth which formed in the 80’s and had a Hard Rock type take on Goth music.

the sound of second wave is based around

Deep male Vocals
Generic Drum Beats (Usually a drum machine)
Jangly style guitar riffs
moody bass lines
