Me too. I just had a long debate with my family which started when I stated that children shouldn't be imposed by their parents religion. And my brother said something like this: "Everyone is trying to teach their offspring what they thing is right and best for them". And that child would make up his mind later from other influences. Like school, other children etc. So he basically said that it's alright to teach children your religion. But I cannot agree with that, because what we learn from adults in our childhood is deeply influential for us. I don't know why I'm typing this here, maybe I want to know what would you say to such a statement that my brother said. And maybe how (or if?) would you try to convince religious person not to teach their child superstitious nonsense. Thanks :-)

This brainwashing has gone on for far, far too long! If parents really feel they need to enlighten their children, they could at least present as possible, not FACT. My parents made a point of never trying to sway my views concerning God or whatever. My father is an atheist, but I only found out recently!

This is a good group idea, I have long detested the system in England of schools being run along religious lines.
