Roy Orbison remains as one of rock's true legendary figures. The remarkable canon of work recorded by Orbison is tied not to any one decade but virtually to the entire lifespan of rock 'n roll. What he lacked in photogenic looks, Orbison made up for in spades with his quavering operatic voice and melodramatic narratives of unrequited love and yearning.

My husband and I are having a bet about where Roy Orbison played in Perth on his 7 March 1975 tour. I think the name of the tour was "The Danmark Tour". I think he played at the WACA and my husband thinks it might have been the Concert Hall. Can anyone help to settle this??

Saw Roy Orbison in concert at the WACA in 1973 in Perth, Australia. He drove out to the open stage in a white limo ! sheer class !!!

Roy Orbison was one of the few genuine geniuses in music who was all substance and had a unique style which many have attempted to emulate but just fail miserably, poor imitations... I just can't imagine holding faith in music if Roy Orbison hadn't existed.. I wish I had been born earlier, just to see Roy perform
