Rockbox is an open source replacement firmware for mp3 players.

Rockbox runs on a number of different models:

# Apple:1st through 5.5th generation iPod, iPod Mini and 1st generation iPod Nano (not the Shuffle, 2nd/3rd/4th gen Nano, Classic or Touch)
# Archos: Jukebox 5000, 6000, Studio, Recorder, FM Recorder, Recorder V2 and Ondio
# Cowan: iAudio X5, X5V, X5L, M5, M5L, M3 and M3L
# iRiver: H100, H300 and H10 series
# Olympus: M:Robe 100
# Toshiba: Gigabeat X and F series
# SanDisk: Sansa C200 and E200 series

@timread: My version of Rockbox creates the scrobbler.log with S and L flags, S being skiped and L being listened (I imagine), only tracks with L get scrobbled anything else gets ignored. If this isn't the case with yours for whatever reason, use QTScrob, once you've loaded your scrobbler.log you can manually delete files without editing the file (much easier imho).

Anyone know how to prevent scrobbling of tracks you've only played a few seconds of then skipped? The last.fm player has a setting for 'scrobble at xx% of track length' but this isn't an option in rockbox. I use rockbox (latest daily build) on a trusty iRiver H340. I know I can manually edit the .scrobbler.log file before uploading but that's a pain.

For scrobbling you can go to http://scrob.paulstead.com/ . I have errors aboout 15% of the time with this, but overall it's pretty good. Just browse for the scrobbler.log on your device.
