    Saw this group and had to join. I'm in my early 30's and don't believe rock is dead but have trouble finding anything good nowadays. I grew up in the Grunge era which I love but after it ended late 90's or so just haven't found anything good. I love Classic, Metal, Punk, and Grunge rock respectively. Anybody shares in these interest or can suggest anything new I'd love to hear it. Actually have discovered some Punk bands while listening to Last fm. Johnny Thunders, Rocket From the Tombs, and The Sonics. Latter being Garage but close enough. I'm sure there's good music out there now just haven't heard it.

    It is rare that I hear good rock music. The last live rock band that blew my mind broke up without a trace of anything, not even a myspace! I saw the front man at a party and he told me they all quit to find jobs, get their lives in order. Fair enough, I guess. There's another local band I should support- they put out the jams, but the scene is so weak, the people so uptight, afraid to be passionate about anything harsh or expressive. The passionate ones in my city seek the raves and jam bands. I'm considering a hardcore punk show in the future, maybe I'll find an outlet.
