    revolutionary metal?

    cheers
i'm a huge metalfan (thrash, death, black, melodeath, heavy, folk) but i don't know many revolutionary metalbands. any suggestions?
it can also be grindcore or crust :)

    please help me!^^

  • I'd say Carcass, Arch Enemy, Kreator... don't remember more at the moment

  • if you're wide-opened there's System of a Down and the majority of metalcore bands

I've never heard a guttural 'workers of the world unite' - however if your asking for bands with generally left-wing lyrics we can help you!

    Do I hear you volunteering?

'I'd say Carcass, Arch Enemy, Kreator... don't remember more at the moment'

well... they're not really unknown, are they? (carcass is actually my favourite band for 2 years now^^)
i know most of the 'famous' left-wing metal bands, but i'd like to know some (good) underground bands. mostly thrash and death please..

Try Antichrist (crust) and Panopticon (black). There are many more from black metal & crust, but I can't remember all right now.

I can't remember many such bands from thrash or death underground. You know, these two genres were never really political, unless mixed with at least some hardcore (which gives us grind/death and crossover, of course).

P.S: Also check out the groups attached to Panopticon. Those should give you the resources you need to dig deeper.

Thrash: Kreator, Protector, Rumble Militia (though a lot more punk/hardcore than thrash), Hellbastard.

Death: Totenmond, Anal Stench, Peregrine, Subvertor. And also a lot of political grindcore.

  • Eudaimonia (TUR). You can download some of their songs from last.fm including a cover of El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido.
