• Top 10 Artists

Yeah, I'm starting another thread, although I'd rather not. It'd be cool if you guys did too. I'd like it! I swear.

Ok so my top 10 artists would be (in semi-particular order and pretty different that most times I've made this list):
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    The Fiery Furnaces
    The Microphones
    Of Montreal
    Beirut
    The Fall
    New Order
    The Decemberists
    Sonic Youth
    The Olivia Tremor Control

How about all of you guys?

I've decided that deciding on favorite-artists-of-all-time is just silly. In the past month alone I've discovered 2 or 3 new bands that I would consider Top 10 favorites, at least for now, and most of the bands on that list, I wouldn't even consider, should I make that list now.

    Just felt like sayin'.

  • Right now:

    The Cure
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    La Oreja de van Gogh
    The Clash
    David Bowie
    The Cars
    Gorky's Zygotic Mynci
    Blondie
    Bauhaus
    Belle & Sebastian

But again, this changes every two weeks.

  • The Smiths
    Bright Eyes
    The Clash
    The Beatles
    Low
    Sad Lovers and Giants
    Joy Division
    Smog
    Arcade Fire
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    The Decemberists
    (that's 11 I know, but I coudn't leave anything out!)

Good sheez, I think I need a THIRD list. But it's been over a year since my last one, so I think that's all right.

(I've eliminated the ones up top for your convenience...) Anywho:

    1. The Cars
    2. Belle and Sebastian
    3. Sonic Youth
    4. Destroyer
    5. Roxy Music
    6. Talking Heads
    7. The New Pornographers
    8. Wilco
    9. David Bowie
    10. Pixies

Not dramatically altered, but I don't listen to The Beatles that much anymore (I like them, but in smaller doses than before), and the lack of Destroyer had to be fixed.

  • Mine also needs some updating.

    The Decemberists
    Sonic Youth
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    Beirut
    The Pogues
    Asobi Seksu
    DeVotchKa
    Pavement
    The Fall
    The Cure

    That seems about right.
