For fans of songs with meaning.

It can be any musical genre, what matters is that the music is made with a serious purpose (even when the result is humorous).

I inteded to add all countries in the world as connected, since I do believe all of them have much to say in song about what's been going on. However, after an afternoon of work adding countries one by one, they come up with this: "Country connections are limited to 200. Please remove some first to make room for ones you think are more important to your group." I fail to imagine how it matters to them how many connected country the group has, but since it would be absurd to choose 20 countries or so with "less important" musical statements, no countries shall be connected to this group, at least until that stupid rule is changed.
Artists, on the other hand, I just added a few I remembered, feel free to suggest more, or even to start a topic to discuss whether or not a certain artist makes/made protest music, among the ones already listed or others if you're not sure enough to suggest straight away.

    Hi Dead Kinks, it's nice to see someone trying to revive interest in protest songs, but I was amazed not to see Phil Ochs, surely the doyenne of protest, on your list of connected artists - if you don't know him, you really should check him out, I think he would be world-changing for you!
