    I do both.

Currently working with python, perl, and javascript professionally (web-dev stuff using cherrypy).

Code mostly in python for fun, and learn "major paradigm shift" languages, currently learning my way around Haskell.

  • Currently just for fun. I hope to get a job or something doing it though.

Mostly for fun, but I did manage to earn a few bucks by programming.

  • Professionally for fun. I mean, I enjoy every day at work. Srsly!

    forks for me!
  • I hear you bornedbored.I'm a freelancer, and I enjoy every minute out of it! Professional code of course.

  • What's better than programming and getting well paid for it?
C, C#(actually working with .NET4) and in a very close future will be working with Objective-C and Cocoa-touch framework.

Now just for fun I've played with shell, java (which I dislike) and asm.

But seriously, we have the best jobs/hobbies/college courses ever!

“Brazil’s cattle industry [...] is responsible for about 80 percent of all deforestation in the Amazon. In fact, the Brazilian cattle industry is the largest single source of deforestation anywhere in the world. And deforestation in turn causes one-fifth of all the greenhouse gas emissions in the world, more than all the world’s cars, trucks, trains, planes, and ships combined.” - Lindsey Allen, 2009. Actually one-tenth.

Was still in school when I joined this group. Now I'm a developer for a network-monitoring software company. C, PHP, Perl, MySQL, sometimes shell scripting. I am a happy camper

    College course and hobby

Code whatever's required as a part of my curriculum.

Do a lot of mini projects and mobile apps as a hobby too! The computer is the only thing that will do exactly as I want it to do.

    Best feeling ever!
