  • Your Favourite Post-Rock track (song)

'Auberge Le Mouton Noir' by Do Make Say Think

    or

'Glittering Blackness' by Explosions in the Sky

are utterly brilliant, and I would play those two songs to introduce someone to the modernday postrock.

  • I know it might be a frequent response but now and probably forever

    Christmas Steps by Mogwai

    Happy XMAS BTW!

    GET ROWDY!
  • 65daysofstatic - Aren't We All Running?

    or

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Providence

    "Wut zur MARheit"

these tracks represent to me the best music ever created:

    1. 1 Mile North - Evil Architecture
    2. Mogwai - Tracy
    3. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Motherfucker=Redeemer parts 1 and 2
    4. Slint - Washer
    5. A Silver Mt. Zion - Sisters! Brothers! Small Boats Of Fire Are Falling From The Sky
    6. Explosions In The Sky - Have You Passed Through This Night?
    7. Rachel's - 4 or 5 Trees
    8. Hood - Houses Tilting Towards The Sea
    9. Don't Mess With Texas - You're Not Punk And I'm Telling Everyone
    10. Tristeza - Aurora Borealis

goddamn that would make a great mixtape.

explosions in the sky - the only moment we were alone
    or
explosions in the sky - a song for our fathers

it's so hard to pick a favorite, so many post rock bands are soo epic, picking a favorite is like trying to choose which child you love best. but these songs i think are my top favorites.

  • Tough question. I think about which albums I like most all the time, but less often individual songs. This list has the potential to be really fluid, with the exception of number 1 which will probably be my favorite song forever.

    1. Mogwai - Yes! I am a long way from home.
    2. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Sleep
    3. Tortoise - DJed
    4. Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand In Mine
    5. Seascapes of the Interior - Moving
    6. Labradford - S
    7. Mogwai - Helicon Pt. 1
    8. Experimental Audio Research - California Nocturne
    9. Mono - A Speeding Car
    10. Larval - One Day I Just Kept On Walking

    btw, awesome fucking list awkward.

Instantons are described in the UV SYM theory as SU(Q5) gauge fields A6,7,8,9(ξa; x6, ..., x9) with field strengths which satisfy F = ∗4F, where ∗4 is the epsilon symbol in M4 and ξa are the moduli parameterizing the family of instantons. The dimension of the instanton moduli space for Q1 instantons in scalar decoupling SU(Q5) is 4k.

This song is the most beautiful musical love scene.
