come on this aint post punk is frealing alternative :(

I'm a follower of todays deathrock scene anyway.

  • Thank you Incababy.

Someone actually making sense in this pathetic group.
I want any apparent "post-punk" fan (correction: indie-rock fan) to take a listen to any band of deathrock... new or old.
    THEY WOULDN'T LAST A SECOND.

None I would say. Nowadays post-punk is so boring and conventional.

some of those bands have a post-punk sound..
deathrock is completely unoriginal nowadays....it's good sometimes though, but too generic.

  • Unfortunately, Boys of Brazil are now defunct. :(

  • Interpol, Franz Ferdiand, Bloc Party, The Photo Atlas, Cut City

Deathcore is awesome cause it's scene kthxbye<3

There are some postpunk elements (and much much more) in Decorate Decorate, one of the best bands in the world. Unfortunately, they don't exist anymore. Just check some songs like Montmartre, Evelyn, Surname of Copenhagen, Europe Has No Heart, Pleasure, Paper Cuts... Amazing band!

I don't know any authentic post-punk bands of today . I'm with the deathrock folks above though; there is some decent music in that "scene" and it is in many ways similar to post-punk of the good ol' days.
