Like it. Did you touch it up ? However, is it me or no flower seems sharp ? BTW, what was the actual aperture on this shot ?

    Hehe,
    Nope, no photoshop touch ;)
Actually I was testing the A-dep of my new DSLR, with the maximal aperture of my lens (1.8). I focused on the flowers though some flowers look blury ;) Your turn now ;)

Yes, but maybe un anglophone se joindra à the conversation. But true, I'm a little chambouled these days.

    A propos, j'aime la photo. :)

  • Some candid shots

    Hey,

Here are some shots I did this afternoon during a strike in Lille.

They have all been taken with my EOS 350D, with 50mm f/1.8 lens, aperture of 2.8. I didn't touched them.

    1. L'abbé précaire
This student was reading a mass for our future jobs.

    2. Viva la revoluzion
Not very candid, this guy was posing...

    3. Flashlight
I think this guy is a fireman...

    4. Not enthousiastic, huh?
A man in the smoke of flashlights...

    5. A girl

Many many more on my flickr page...

    (Hope I didn't bored you)

    28,000 photos = 44 dvds de back-up.

  • i kinda like the sun's reflection on each helmet. f/8, baby!

Hey, not too bad quality for a mobile phone!

  • Hey, not too bad quality for a mobile phone!

Thank you!! Does the picture show without having to click the link? I think photographers of the future will be less concerned with resolution of image-it could change the language of photography-for example verybody thought Martin Paar was mad (At first) just shooting colour etc.

Nope, I can't see the picture without clicking.

You have to type something like that instead

if this happens, i won't be too happy. i already find 6MP to be tiny, and have wet dreams of an 8x10 large format camera for some of my series.

    i love very large prints.

even though of course i could still show my images on a very large LCD. i saw an Agence France-Presse retrospective that had the newswire images shown on plasma screens as they were being sent to the agency by al the staffers. it was quite an eerie experience to just stand there and see shots of jacques chirac and then something else from the other side of the planet, with no notion of order or meaning whatsoever.

    oh, and:

and viper, it's your opinion, so don't voice it as a universal truth. ;)

  • Sparadrap, I'm really impressed with your shots of the protest! Very clear.

I'd be disappointed if photographers stopped caring about resolution, too. I like the big prints I can make in a darkroom much more than the tiny things my digital is capable of.

i've got the huge sigma 70-200 to thank for that.

i haven't printed big stuff in a while. the darkroom i used is a shared facility we only get a week-end per month at, so it gets a little crowded to put out anything bigger than 8x10 in the baths.
