Philip Parris "Phil" Lynott (1949-1986) frontman of Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy. Personal voice, and great song maker. May him rest in peace.

Philip Parris "Phil" Lynott (1949-1986) frontman of Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy. Personal voice, and great song maker.

Lynott also did some solo material, which included well known songs like "Old Town", "Yellow Pearl" and "King's Call".

After Thin Lizzy, Lynott formed a band called Grand Slam, but they never did any records.

Lynott also had a chart hit, together with Gary Moore, called "Out In The Fields".

Lynott's last recording was a single called "Nineteen" which was originally Grand Slam song.

Lynott died in 4th January 1986, in Salisbury hospital, taken there after his system failed because of strong drug abuse. Lynott was only 36 when he left this world, but he is remembered through the great music he made.
