    Suggest background music for sleep

Please suggest something realy nice, simple, truly amazing. Something that makes you to think, you are somewhere where everything is possible.

    Best thanks,

  • Strangely soothing: Holly McNarland's Mystery Song

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." (Dr. Seuss)
  • Raison d'Etre.

NOTE: The music sample on his page here on last.fm is NOT Raison d'Etre. I dont know how that sucky song ended up there.

    best artist to sleep to

Ray LaMontagne...or M. Ward. But I normally just make a playlist of all my chill music and let the sweet sleep roll over me

Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself CD

I sleep like a baby to her calming melodies and soothing lyrics.

right her music is awesome the "frou frou - details" album too.

But what iam realy hearing a lot (for MONTH!) is the o.s.t to "windstruck" http://www.last.fm/music/Windstruck+OST

  • duke ellington and john coltrane - in a sentimental mood.... it's pure jazz... absolutely marvelous 8->
also... secret garden indeed is good... dreamcatcher is their best song in my opinion plus nocturne, papillon and silent wings and, oh... i could say lot more... ;))
enigma has a good sound... their old albums... mono is good too ... and, of course, you should try chopin :>
    the list could go on....

  • for me, I pretty much listen to Explosions in the Sky to make me feel better about the world I live in. It's just that kind of music.

  • indeed... it's a good band... i totally forgot about it... mea culpa :p

Coldplay's songs are really good for that purpose!!!Chris Martin's got a beautiful and sensual voice which makes me have nice dreams ;p!!!

  • Naked As We Came
    Simple and elegant.

  • yeah I love that Iron & Winesong. \m/

  • @bitter_moon

Well not crazy, but extremely realistic dreams. I slept again to Explosions and it was a very chill sleep. So maybe it was just a random occurance.

  • I dunno, but Explosions helps me sleep better at night. Well ok, The Postal Service does that too, but i think 'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight' was meant to make people fall asleep anyway. lol
