I know, but I always thought of Romero and King as a duo. Baca had some influence, but I believe that Romero and King are the guys behind it all. They started in HoMM 1.

HOMM is probably my favourite gaming series ever. So much fun, I love the music too. Don't suppose anyone would know where I could download some of the music?

I had also tears in my eyes when I read that The Heavenly Forge had been removed from Armageddon's Blade... It's a pity so many fans see only gameplay, not the plot.

To know the true beauty of Might and Magic series you have to fully understand the deepness of its plot. And to do that, you have to play Might and Magic older than MM6. Or at lest read about them. Lack of a mysterious, science-fantasy plot is the main reason I despise Might and Magic 9.

Well, I like all installments of the series apart from H5 and DMoMM. I could play HoMM4 and MM9 because of the plot continuity. HoMM5, as I saw on my friend's PC, is just a rearranged HoMM3 with very similar plot and not especially original castles, and that's the way that I will not pay 99PLN (about 30$) for this game. Nor I will pay 50PLZ (15$) for DMoMM, even the title is stupid and strange :/

HMMIV just doesn't appeal to me with overall design and music... Although the battling heroes were pretty neat it fails on just too much levels to really bring the excitment of H2/3/5... But, meh, I still had a lot of fun with that one. Heck I even played and enjoyed Crusarders and MMIX... But not Dark Messiah. It's just NOT MM...

I agree with you on the MM IX and Crusaders part, but I like HoMM IV and DM is an okay game, although it's not a masterpiece.

Ahh... MM and HMM... Two greatest series ever produced on PC... If we don't count MM9, HMM4 Crusaders and Dark Messiah, of course... And one of the greatest soundtracks ever created as well!
