Pantheism is a philosophy that allows us to relate emotionally, intellectually and physically to Nature, to understand our place within the Universe and to satisfy our spiritual needs without abandoning scientific reason or common sense. Pantheism regards the Universe as a whole as worthy of the deepest reverence, perceives Nature as divine and promotes a path that honours, reveres and, of necessity, cares for the natural world which is itself a unity of inextricably linked living beings, a complex and quite wonderful web of life.

    Well a Pantheist does not believe in the traditional view of God, so they don't believe in a God as a person so may they call themselves atheists (directed to what the most people believe when they say they believe in "God"). I'm a Panentheist, which is just a little bit different, so I joined the group!

    I wonder if people who like to romanticise about nature realize that nature is actually the epitome of senseless cruelty, brutality and perpetual war, the kind that romanticising humans usually wish to hide from. Well, at least with nature, the rules are simple and not ambiguous and deceptive like human ones.
