Delay in scrobbling to last.fm

I've noticed that when I use PandoraFM to scrobble, the last.fm application delays the scrobbling by quite a few minutes. It eventually straightens out, but it looks... very strange, to be quite honest. Here's a screenshot:



One would think this looks normal, but...

1.) I was using Winamp to scrobble my tracks at the time
2.) It skipped scrobbling an entire song. It eventually does straighten out, but at the time, it skips over complete tracks, sometimes several at once
3.) There is a time delay, as you can see by the screenshot - "song will be scrobbed in X minutes"?

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this going on. It usually takes a few days before it settles down.
