Rocket From The Crypt is a great band, but they're not blues at all (I don't know the song you mentionned, though...)

Would you guys consider Rocket From The Crypt blues punk? Their song Boychucker especially comes to mind.

Good idea this, just joined :-) My eye was drawn by the Gun Club as the group pic, one of my favourite bands! P.S. just found a really great up-and-coming garagey rock band recently - check out Le Chat Noir, their song Pull the Trigger reminds me a lot of Gun Club without being a steal. Their other stuff's pretty cool too! :-) Julia xx

Howzabout Jawbone? Stinky Lou & the Goon Mat? Scott H. Biram? Chicken Legs Weaver? BBQ? Billy Childish? Also, wondering how many people here prefer Delta-style blues to the other stuff? Seems to have a lot more in common with punk than electric or Chicago blues. Much better for its simplicity, in my opinion.

The Gun Club's Fire of love is IMO the greatest ever Blues/Punk succesful effort.

social distortion is boring. not so bluesy either. can we all agree to eliminate them here since they are represented on so many other (if not all) similiar groups? Instead I vote you add the Long Fellows. Thanks the LF
