Many years ago (20?) I went to see (and listen!) Ornette in Ravenna, Italy. He was with his original quartet: Don Cherry, Charlie Haden, Billy Higgins. Ornette wore an electric blue dress and the music was magic. One of the best concerts of my life!

when I was much younger than I used to be I had a plastic sax just like the one ornette plays and the twat music teacher I went to told me to get rid of it & buy a real one. Which is sort of what I did. Alas.
