Difficult to get into mostly, but is it worth the time and effort to get into? YES! Note: This is NOT a place to gloat about one form of music over another.

Basic guidelines:
This is a group for people interested in music that is technically demanding and/or difficult to comprehend. All forms of obscure technical music are welcomed.

In regards to rules about being in the group just be friendly. If you are a group whore who just joins hundreds of groups I may remove eventually if you are inactive for many months. I will leave the group always open in case you become more active on lastfm so you can re-join. Anyway, welcome to 'Obscure technical music'!

@Hayden nice Progressive/core lists you made on RYM. I had to check out Evolucid seeing how they have hip-hop fusion. Shits dope! anyways your number 19 and 192 are the same band. I gotta agree with BTBAM btw.

v What part of the progressive scene are you into? Emphasis on groove, prog or death metal? It's a relatively small subgenre but it's been getting exponentially bigger since 2010 and pretty diverse for only being around for a short time.

i like prog deathcore but there seems to be a flux of bands in the style and i don't really know where to start. i'm really into born of osiris's last full length, and i'm a big fan of everything veil of maya's done, albeit they're more tech deathcore than prog. i think those two bands are a pretty good foundation for non pig squealy deathcore... but beyond that i'm not sure. there's been a few bands i've checked out and liked along the way but not really any have stuck out for me..
